    PRESCRIPTION OPTIONS
    Single vision lenses are needed if you require correction for one field of vision, either distance or near vision (reading). Vint & York’s lenses consist of premium quality polycarbonate Rx lenses. Protective coatings such as high quality anti–scratch and anti-reflective coating are included in all of our lenses. Polycarbonate lenses are strong and impact resistant, making them safe to wear.
    Bifocal lenses accommodate by correcting one's distance and near vision with one pair of lenses. The two fields of vision are typically separated by a line across the lens. Our Bi Focal lenses are available with many of our optical frames. We offer high index materials as well as a blended bi focal for those who prefer no sharp line. All of our lenses include UVA/UVB protective coatings as well as high quality anti-scratch and anti reflective coatings.
    Vint & York offers Progressive Lenses that are available with many of our optical frames. Progressive lenses are a multifocal lens to help correct three fields of vision with no line separating. They correct distance, intermediate as well as reading vision in one lens. We offer Digital Progressive lenses as well as high index material progressive lenses. All of our lenses include UVA/UVB protective coatings and high quality anti–scratch and anti-reflective coating.
    LENS OPTIONS
    If you want to receive frames with no Rx, you have two options. Optical frames will include anti-reflective polycarbonate lenses when you choose the option “Add clear non-prescription lenses”. The option “I plan on replacing demo lenses” are recommended if your optician or doctor plans on replacing the lenses. Those lenses would be a demo lens or plastic.
    A light responsive lens can also be called photochromatic lenses. These lenses darken when exposed to UV light such as the sun. They are available in polycarbonate and high index materials. When exposed to UV light the lenses will darken to your choice of color either brown or grey.

    So recently while I was

    So recently while I was bored I decided to go to an eye doctor because I was having massive headaches that I’ve never experienced before. Long story short I went to the eye doctor and she told me my eye sight 20 years after Lasix surgery started to worsen since my stigmatism’s returned. I then went to TLC Laser Surgery Center and decided at this point of my life (41 years old) let me try to wear glasses again. I did a little research online and I saw a pair called Old School by Vint and York. I decided to take the train into Manhattan and I met Eli the manager at Vint and York. After speaking with Eli I was informed that a good possibility of my eyes hurting all the time was because of blue light coming off my iPhone, my LED TV, my computer. On Eli’s recommendation I ordered a pair of Old School (Black) glasses with Digital lenses, blue light reflective technology and transition lenses. The moment I put on these glasses I cannot believe the vision I now have. An hour after wearing my new glasses my headaches are gone my eyes are not straining and I see clearer than anything. I just drove at night and I cannot believe the difference. I can see absolutely everything so crisp and clear. Eli was very helpful. He is an awesome manager and I feel he is someone who cares about his clients. I am very happy with my transaction and thank you for changing my life Eli and Vint and York.
